Preparation

First, boil the milk in a pan with the lemon peel and cinnamon stick.

Meanwhile, in a large bowl, add the sugar, salt, egg yolks and eggs. Mix well until smooth.

Add the flour and mix everything very well. Add the vanilla flavoring and mix again.

When the milk boils, remove the cinnamon stick and lemon peel.

Pour the hot milk into the mixture, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

Then, cook this mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly with a whisk, until it boils and thickens - it takes about two minutes.

Pour the mixture into the mold. Smooth the surface and knock the mold on the table to remove all the air from between the egg whites.

Pour the cream into a dish and let it cool completely.

Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar and sear the surface with a blowtorch or hot iron until golden and crispy. And it's ready! An authentic Portuguese-style Cream Milk!
